Does not work, No support!
Have had this system installed for a few years. The LPC units are ok but the CONNEX WIFI Thermostat is useless. Very hard to operate and the App to operate it remotely does not work at all and you are on your own. I have been trying to get support for a few weeks and they respond once a week with a nonsense reply. I wish another manufacturer could provide a thermostat for the devices. I have a Sensi thermostat and an Ecobee thermostat. They are both amazing and the support is incredible. I may have to rip out the LPCs and install at furnace...

Can not activate account
Can not activate the account... We are about half way through replacing our baseboard heaters with Dimplex's LPC units... even installed one of their expensive commercial ceiling heaters... and then we purchased the WiFi controller... following the instructions, we downloaded and installed the app on our smart phone, then the confirmation email came thru to activate, when we click on the link, the screen goes to a white screen, with a blue border and just hangs at this point! We used the email contact on their web site... no response.. I ran across the email address in this review area, so the emailed them - again, no response!!! And we actually have to work... so don't have the option to phone them during their very restrictive hours of telephone support... Am hoping this review will help us resolve the issue... as I can not think of any other way to try to get them to help....

terrible product, don't buy it!
First of all, build quality is terrible. Touch screen is from last decade. When you plug it into the wall it makes a noise that bothers me. I couldn't sleep with that noise.
2- when you download the app, you are suppose to get an activation email that never arrived! After 2 weeks sending it over and over again, I finally got the activation email and was finally able to create an account. Not done yet ...
3- when opening the app and going through the set up, you are suppose to connect to the connex wi-fi that NEVER showed up. I've tried to do it more than 20 times, reset all my settings, it still didn't work.
4- so finally decided to reach customer support. Why bother??? I've waited in a phone call for over 30 minutes SEVERAL times on different days and times. Customer service sucks, so disrespectful.
Returning this piece of garbage today. Wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. DON'T BUY IT!!!

Doesn’t Work
The heater units I bought work great, but this controller to connect to them and control them remotely is trash. It doesn’t work and loses connection all the time. I’d say it works 30% of the time and Dimplex customer service doesn’t help. This product should never have been released to the market, it’s a joke that they still sell them KNOWING that they don’t work.

Great concept, not so good implentation
I have mine working, but using the unit itself is awkward. The phone app makes it easier.
I wish the baseboard units had higher quality metal work & more room as well.
If you are setting up the phone app for 2 controllers (iOS only I think), note that there is only one Connex-xxx that will appear under Wi-Fi! That wasn't clear to me (or mentioned in the video or instructions). After connecting to it, it figures out that it's a second controller. Knowing this would've saved an hour on the phone with support. At least the support folks are very nice.
I realize that the app is fairly new, but Dimplex is a big enough company to invest some R&D into better controllers & apps.

Perhaps confusing to setup, yet works as intended
Bought this summer, as others have written get the app and use that rather than the controller. Controller must be used to sync a baseboard, then you can use the app exclusively. Wish they would redevelop the app. Patience will get you a setup which works as intended, although it could be made a bit more intuitive. Don't give up if you get frustrated with the setup!

It's not as bad as everyone says
Setup the app and register before you buy the controller. If you can't get that far, this isn't for you. It only took me a half hour to set up 6 baseboard heaters on 4 zones and then another 15 minutes to do my programs on the app.
Most things you have to do twice so it takes patience. That touch screen is terrible. My suggestion is touch and hold when syncing with the heaters.
I get that they need a bridge to connect the heaters to the wifi but that's all this should be. As an actual thermostat it is a joke. The whole point is to use the app to control the heaters.
Don't be afraid of all the bad reviews. It does work. It's just not fool proof, takes patience and when you are done, you will only have simple control. No energy usage statistics, no voice control through IFTTT.
